    Spend Some Fucking Money

It is not going to be a pretty season.

I swear, I 'm not usually this pessimistic when it comes to football. Read my other stuff here or on miostadium, and you'll see. But this is seriously fucking depressing.

The only upside to our season opener against Newcastle is that defense looked okay and we kept a clean sheet. Other than that, we looked the same as the end of last season - clueless. Yes, we passed the ball around well. But there was no direction and leadership and no one knew what to do or where to go. Shambolic.

Didn't Koscielny get sent off on his debut? Well, Gervinho too, so it's okay. Song almost got booted off the game too, for a silly deed. And it's Joey-fucking-Barton all over again, innit? First of all, it is our fault for falling for his stupid tricks again. But FFS, the way he hauled Gervinho off the deck??? I would have properly clocked him if I were Gervinho. The Ivorian was probably rightly sent off for reacting, but Barton should be sent off as well. No, I do not want to get into the Song incident, but I wished Song had done more damage.

Anyway, it was 90 minutes of the same shit from last season. Seriously.

I understand why we want to buy young players and all. Tell me though, why do we build up all these players only to do so poorly that they leave us when they are 'world-class'? Everyone wants to do well for themselves. You really can't blame big players for not wanting to come here, and for players wanting to leave. Why would they want to be at a club that didn't show any intent or desire to win anything?

First of 38 games done. I love the Arsenal, but I'm almost dreading the rest of the season. I don't just want the three points. I want to win while playing like we mean it. And I want to see some intent to change and learn and grow from previous seasons. There has been stagnation for way too long. When will I get to celebrate three satisfactory points?
